How to come here
From Athens follow the National Road Athens-Corinth-Tripoli, and then head towards Tripoli-Megalopolis-Kalamata. Once you arrive in Kalamata stay on the coastal road and follow the signs to Kardamili, Areopolis, Agios Nikolaos. The distance from Athens is 290 km.
From Patras follow the National Road Patras-Corinth-Tripoli, and then head towards Tripoli-Megalopolis-Kalamata. Once you arrive in Kalamata stay on the coastal road and follow the signs to Agios Nikolaos. The distance from Patras is 338 km.
From Patras you can also reach Kalamata via the National Road Patras-Pyrgos. Then follow the road to Amaliada and before you reach Kyparissia take the exit for Kalo Nero towards Kalamata. The route is signposted.
There are daily bus routes from Athens, Patras and Thessaloniki to Kalamata.
Kalamata can be reached by air from Athens Eleftherios Venizelos airport.
